crowns
What are crowns?
Artificial crowns made of different materials such as ceramic and metal. There are three types of braces: all-ceramic crown, ceramic metal crown and all-metal crown.
When do I need to make a crown?
There are two main functions of braces: the first is to improve aesthetics, and the second is to protect and repair teeth. Some people’s teeth are congenitally abnormal in color and have excessive pigment, such as tetracycline teeth; Some people’s teeth are discolored due to acquired factors, such as tooth decay, missing enamel, etc. If you want to improve the surface color of your teeth, braces are a straightforward and easy way.
Another function of braces is to protect and restore teeth. When a large amount of tooth tissue is missing, ordinary fillings may not have enough power to repair the teeth, and the teeth need artificial braces to strengthen the protection of the teeth. In addition, teeth that have undergone root and teeth that have been cracked have a higher risk of breakage, so both types of teeth require artificial crowns for protection.
Types of crowns:
There are different types of braces to suit the needs of different teeth
All Ceramic Crown
This type of braces is the most aesthetically pleasing braces and is more suitable for incisors. All-ceramic braces are metal-free, so there will be no silver metal edges of other braces at the gum level. The color of all-ceramic braces is closest to that of real teeth, so this type of braces is best suited for people with high aesthetic needs.
Ceramic Metal Crown
Ceramic metal braces are another common type of braces, which combines the beauty of ceramic with the hardness of metal, so it is suitable for occlusion feeding of hind teeth.
Metal Crown
All-metal braces are the thinnest of braces and are closer to the teeth, but the color is silver, which is not very aesthetically pleasing. Therefore, this type of braces is mainly suitable for the final large teeth.
